We understand how difficult the decision is to place a child in treatment and I want to assure you that the care given at Woodland Spring Lodge is the same we would provide to our own children. We feel privileged that you would choose us and do not take this responsibility lightly.

Placing a child in treatment can often be a very lonely process. You may feel as though you are the only parent struggling with these issues or that you should be able to solve this problem if you could only master the correct parenting technique. At Woodland Spring Lodge we hear this all the time and we want you to know that you are not alone.

We care for children who come from families struggling just like yours. Often the child is managing very well outside the family setting and you may hear what a talented, well-behaved child they are. They may be popular in social settings and managing in school just fine. It is the relationships in the home that are failing.

We also have children who are struggling with relationships outside the home as well—peers, teachers, and coaches have all witnessed negative behavior and have tried multiple ways to correct it. While placing your child outside your home will never be an easy decision, I hope it helps you to know others have experienced the same painful process.

We are committed to providing a therapeutic environment in which a child or teen feels at home. This allows us to see firsthand what you are experiencing and build an appropriate treatment plan tailored to your child and their situation. In addition, the wide range of ages in our homes provides interactions of not just peers but also resembling those of siblings. By creating a similar home environment, your child will be able to transfer newly learned relationship-building skills back home with greater success.

Our staff members at Woodland Spring Lodge are passionate about what they do and very committed.  They believe their work with children and teens is a calling and a lifestyle, not just a job. While in care, we will have challenging interactions. These form the building blocks for your child to re-establish the damaged relationships in their lives. We believe we are on the right track when your child trusts our care enough to act out in the same manner they do in your home. This is where progress is made.
